D B City project is a striking example of a high-density development. As land crunch in cities leads to increasing Floor Area Ratio/Floor Space Index (FAR/FSI), the design challenges have shifted to exploring new sustainable development models. DB City project posed many design challenges. With a site area of less than 8 acres, the development guidelines of this plot of land permitted a builtup area of 30 lakh sq. ft., resulting in an aspect ratio of ten, hitherto never before developed in the city.
