Subros is the approved original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for Maruti Suzuki, supplying airconditioning for their cars. Their facility at IMT Manesar produces air-conditioners in all sizes and capacities, and comprises plant buildings, an administration block, a canteen, a utility block and site development works. The site spreads on an area of 9 acres and is well located just off the Jaipur–Delhi National Highway. While this allowed for better visibility and accessibility, the Architects had to be weary of security concerns and circulation movement. For this, the buildings have been significantly offset from the main highway line. Buffer space in the form of an expansive green belt helps in screening dust and noise into the facility’s premises. A well-planned parking space has also been accommodated in the front end of the site.
